Satellite Technician/Installer Full Time

Position Overview:
The Satellite Technician/Installer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of satellite systems used in both planetary and interplanetary operations. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring uninterrupted communication and data transfer in diverse and challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure advanced satellite systems for communication, navigation, and data transmission.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot technical issues, including signal interference and hardware malfunctions.
• Align satellite dishes and arrays for precise signal reception and transmission.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy new satellite technologies and support large-scale installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and technical regulations during all installation and maintenance activities.
• Maintain detailed records of installations, maintenance schedules, and system performance metrics.
• Train and guide junior technicians in satellite installation and repair best practices.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or certification in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in satellite installation, maintenance, or telecommunications systems.
• Strong knowledge of satellite communication principles, including signal propagation and system calibration.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment used in satellite installation and repair.
• Familiarity with advanced Wallace Corporation satellite systems is a plus.
• Ability to work in diverse environments, including high-altitude installations and space-rated facilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with teams and provide clear guidance to clients and junior staff.
