Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC Mills to produce precision components according to specifications and blueprints
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job instructions to understand dimensions and tolerances
Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication, to ensure machines run efficiently
Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations in specifications and make necessary adjustments
Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure accuracy
Program CNC lathes using G-code and adjust settings as needed for different machining processes including tool and positional offsets
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies
Collaborate with other machinists and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines
Maintain accurate records of production, including setup sheets, inspection reports, and maintenance log
